The same behaviour locks up Claws Mail if it's set to check for new mail on
start-up. I have over 30 RSS feeds in addition to e-mail, which translates to
unresponsiveness for a rather long time after Claws has started.

The program goes through the folders one-by-one without threading and the UI
can't be used simultaneously. These two things compound each other. If one of
the two was alleviated, the other one wouldn't be such a big deal. It's the
only thing that I miss in an otherwise very well-made client.
