I, too, understand that point. In fact i've already wished for such a
feature several times. Sometimes it happens that, for whatever reasons
(mostly some failing WLAN connection), i can't connect to the internet
for a while. But Claws checks for emails every couple of minutes. If it
does before i have noticed that the web connection is gone, it keeps on
trying for quite a long time and i can't use it in that time. A button
"Stop downloading Emails" would really be helpful. In other situations,
too, like when realizing you have clicked on an email with a huge
attachment, but have a bad internet connection, so that the time it
would take Claws to open that email would be too long, assuming you
have more important emails to read.
