Yeah, I thought it was a gremlin. I just wanted it on the list in case
somebody else has it happen.

My problem is I don't know the last time my Claws got upgraded, so the
Claws I started this thread with might be newer than the Claws in which
I observed the symptom.

Void Linux, 64 bit, GCC. Subjectively speaking, Void seems to always
have a nicely working Claws-Mail, which isn't surprising, because
almost all its software (except webkit browsers) works extremely well.
