You could downgrade to 3.12.0 commit 897a5ed and FWIW I experienced
3.11.1 commit 7e1943d from this month as ok too.

I'm still using 3.12.0 commit 897a5ed and don't experience those bugs.

$ ls -hl old/claws-mail-* | grep Jul
3.0M Jul 19 01:59 old/claws-mail-git-3.11.1.r235.g7e1943d-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
$ ls -hl current/claws-mail-git-*
2.8M Jul 20 22:22 current/claws-mail-git-3.12.0.r6.g897a5ed-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
$ pacman -Q claws-mail-git
claws-mail-git 3.12.0.r6.g897a5ed-1
