Simple (IMHO): I was in my "JUNK/Unsure" mailbox, sorted as indicated below:
 - Thread view
 - Sorted by thread date, descending.

10 mails in that list, the top one I wanted to keep, so I went to the
second, and hit Ctrl+Alt+S (mark as spam). The mail is then move to the
"JUNK/Spam" folder.
I did that on the second mail of the list twice. First time with
"next_on_delete" = 0, second time with that set to 1. Both time, after
hitting Ctrl+Alt+S, the selection moved to the very first mail, at the top
of the list. It never stayed on the the second position.
