Kindly note that it hardcodes /tmp here, so that differs from Claws Mail,
due to what g_get_tmp_dir() does.

$ grep ALTCONF clawsker
my $ALTCONFIGDIR = FALSE;
    my $socket = (not $ALTCONFIGDIR)? "/tmp/": $CONFIGDIR;
