This should be equivalent:

s metabol & s sugar | s metabol & s carboh

But I'm not sure if claws has the conventional precedence rules for
those operators (i.e., if & has higher precedence than |).  It may just
be left-to-right.  In which case, this would work:

s sugar | s carboh & s metabol
