In fact, while Claws-Mail did something wrong there - that is, decoding
a quoted-printable "multipart" MIME part, there is another problem:
KMail should not send that, and you may want to tell them it's a bug,
as RFC 2045 specifies :

RFC 2045, 6.4.  Interpretation and Use
   If an entity is of type "multipart" the Content-Transfer-Encoding is
   not permitted to have any value other than "7bit", "8bit" or
   "binary".
